James Graveside services for Glenn C. James, 83, were held Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Mr. James was born Monday, March 15, 1920 at Hennepin to Jesse James and Della Sewell James. He died Sunday, May 25, 2003 in Ardmore. He was married to Thais James and she preceded him in death. He grew up in the Davis area, graduating from Woodland High School. He attended Okla. A & M. He lived in California for several years then moved back to this area about four years ago. He lived in Choctaw until March 2003 when he moved to Ardmore. He served in the U.S. Air Force in WW II and worked as a truck driver. He attended the Baptist Church. He is survived by three brothers, Bill James, Choctaw, Jesse James, Jr., Oklahoma City and Bob James, Teague, Texas; four sisters, Bea Allmon, Sulphur, Geneva Herndon, Ardmore, Katherine Foster, Oklahoma City and Betty Rose, Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews.
