Emery Mason and Rev. Betty Stone officiating. Interment was in Palmer Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born August 17, 1915 in Palmer to F. M. "Fob" Jones and Forrest Lance Jones, he died Saturday, April 2 in Sulphur. He grew up in this area, attending school at Hickory. After graduation he attended Murray State College at Tishomingo and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. He lived at Baytown, Texas where he worked for Exxon Oil as an instrument technician. He moved back to the Sulphur area in 1970 and attended the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of WW II and was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he received his 50-year pin. He married Sue Murray at Highlands, Texas. Surviving are his wife, Sue, of the home; a daughter, Sara Owens, Baytown, Texas; a granddaughter, Shara Owens; one brother, Pete Jones, Sulphur; two sisters, Oleta Silvers and Gena Gwartney, both of Tulsa.
