"Doc" Jones Graveside services for Custer L. "Doc" Jones, 90, Davis will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 4 at Resthaven Memorial Garden in Duncan with Rev. Ray Ledbetter officiating. Services will be under the direction of Hale's Fox Funeral Home of Davis. Born February 7, 1915 in Pendall, Ark., to Mary Ethel and Oscar Stanley Jones, he died Tuesday, Nov. 1 at Davis. He married Verda T. Riley on February 22, 1937 in Sapulpa. The couple was married for 56 years. Mr. Jones worked in the oil field drilling department of Jones Drilling for many years and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Duncan. He served in the Army during WWII where he received two bronze stars. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Verda and one sister, Faye Harvill.
