Jennings, 76, of Elmore City died Monday, July 13, in Pauls Valley. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Elmore City Baptist Church with the Revs. Joe Ray Coppenbarger and Bruce McCray officiating. Wooster Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Mr. Jennings was born Aug. 7, 1926, in Dougherty, to George Ellis Jennings and Thelma Gertrude (Frantz). He attended school in Dougherty. He worked most of his life in the construction business. He enjoyed bluegrass music and participated in several bands, playing his guitar and singing high tenor. Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his wife, Helen; parents, George and Gertrude Jennings; sister, Wanda Lee Jennings; brother, Roy "Nug" Jennings; and granddaughter, Misty Spicer. Mr. Jennings is survived by his brother, Larry Don Jennings and wife, Carolyn, of Tuttle; grandchildren, Eddie Jennings of Bethany, Jeanna Ferchaud of Bethany, Denny Horstman and wife, Amy, of Elmore City and John Speer of Lawton; and great-grandchildren, Natasha Jennings, Lyric Ferchaud, Dillon, Jess and Hollis Horstman and Seth Speer. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Murray County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/murray/murray.htm
