Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in was in charge of arrangements. William "Bill" Krueger went to be with Our Lord Sunday, Feb. 29th after a courageous battle with brain cancer. A transplant "Okie", Bill was originally from Wisconsin where he met his wife, Sandy, whom he described as the, "best catch of his life". In addition to being a loving husband, he was also an active Dad of three girls. His sense of humor and love of practical jokes will undoubtedly live on in the memories of all who knew him. As a Christian man, we know that he is now in heaven, and his commitment to God never wavered through even the most difficult moments. He was a loving, joyful, smart, ethical, funny wonderful man of character whose presence will be missed, but whose spirit will never be forgotten. Bill was born January 14, 1949 in Elkorn, Wis. to Betty Rae and Earl Marquardt. After the death of his father Earl, he was later adopted by Betty's second husband, Carlyle Krueger. He grew up in Racine, Wis. and attended the University of Wisconsin and graduated in 1971 with a BBA degree. He married Sandalee Scaife on January 2, 1970 in Hinsdale, Ill. and they were blessed with three daughters. Bill's career in finance moved them from Wisconsin to Oklahoma City in 1981. After six years of driving from OKC to spend weekends at Cedar Blue, Bill and Sandy made their permanent residence in Sulphur in June of 2003 after Bill was diagnosed with brain cancer. He treated every day as a gift and fully enjoyed his time in Sulphur doing the things he loved: spending time with family and friends, fishing, swimming, boating and telling jokes. He is survived by his mother and step father, Betty and Richard Fowler, Norman; his aunt and uncle, Sheridan and Nancy Marquardt, OKC; his wife of 34 years, Sandalee Krueger; three daughters and a son-in law, Kathie and Cody Hawk of Frisco, Texas, Jennifer Krueger, OKC and Kristin Krueger, OKC; two sisters and brothers-in law, Lynda and Ken Killberg, Racine, Wis. and Teresa and Dan Mullenberg, Ventura, Calif., a brother and sister-in law, Ron and Sue Krueger, Racine, Wis; brother-in-law and his wife, Howard and Sally Scaife, Lisle, Ill.; five nephews, Jon Scaife , England, Andy Scaife, Lisle, Ill., Ben Killberg, New York City, Troy Mullenberg and Chad Mullenberg both of Ventura, Calif.; two nieces, Katie Killberg, Los Angeles, Calif.and Danielle Mullenberg of Ventura, Calif.
