"Peggy" LaFever Services for Pearl E. "Peggy" LaFever, 65, Sulphur, were at 2:00 p.m. at the Cowley-Krien Funeral Chapel in Sulphur with Rev. Brad Ransom officiating. Interment was Oaklawn Cemetery with Cowley-Krien Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born January 22, 1940 in Tscumbi, Ala., to Joe and Pearl Hale Grissom, she died Saturday, April 30 at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital. She moved to the Palmer community in 1944 and graduated from Hickory High School. She moved to Lewisville, Texas and later to Fittstown in 1975 where she operated the Duck In Cafe. She later operated a cafe in Roff before moving to Sulphur where she owned and operated Poor Girl's Cafe with good friend, Rose Pruitt. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra LaFever Vessels and her husband, Tracy, Houston, Texas and Mary Sue McNeil and husband, Bob, Shawnee; three grandchildren, Alexis Vessels and Payton and Piper McNeil; three brothers, Bob, Pete and Hal Grissom, all of Sulphur and one sister, Juanita Hair, Wewoka. She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Walter, David, Pal and Bill Grissom; one sister, Lillie Jean Grissom and a close friend, and business associate, Rose Pruitt. Pallbearers were Charles (Chuck) Grissom, Paul Brenstetter, Jimmy McGill, Chris Alan, Gene Delay, O. D.
