Services were Feb. 18 at the Krien Chapel in Davis with Pastor Brad Jones officiating. Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis. She was born March 22, 1919, in Davis to Hershel and Mae (Bozarth) Whitaker. She grew up and attended school in Hennepin. She later met and married Alfred James Aaron in Wilson, and they moved to De Queen, Ark., where they raised their family. After his death, she met and married Roger Leatherman in De Queen. In 1992, they moved to the Davis and Sulphur area, where she remained until her death. She took pleasure in living among the Arbuckle Mountains. She enjoyed her work as an LPN because she loved caring for people, especially her family. She was an avid reader of the Bible and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her husband, Roger; four children, Guy Aaron of Dougherty, Pam Fox of Mannsville, Casey Wood of Conroe, Texas, and Eve Putman of Davis; a brother, John Whitaker of De Queen, two sisters, Nancy Rands and Helen Bick, both of Horatio, Ark.; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Hershel Whitaker, and five sisters, Wanda Henry, Joyce Spriggs, Pat Barringer, Jean Hood and Ruth Kellums.Pallbearers were Charles Hill, Joe Pack, Greg Pack, John Becker, Eddie Torres and Stanley Vernon.
