All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Davis News, Wednesday, July 31, 2002, Page 3 contained the following obituary: "ALLENE ROWE PENNYBAKER PRENTICE LIMB Davis native Allene (Rowe) Pennybaker Prentice Limb, 91, of Norman died July 27, 2002, at Norman Regional Hospital. Funeral Services were July 27, 2002, at Norman Regional Hospital. Funeral services were July 30 at First Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Densman officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery. Mrs. limb was born June 13, 1911, in Davis to John W. and Pauline (Sewell) Rowe. She moved with her family as a child to California for a short period of time before moving back to Davis. She attended Davis School through the 12th grade. She married Oliver LeRoy Pennybaker on May 31, 1936 at Elk City, where they established their first home. In 1941, they moved to Seminole and lived there until he entered the military service during World War II. They spent two years in Texarkana, Texas. They returned to Seminole and lived there until his death in 1973. During this time, she was employed for many years as a sales clerk for Sharp's Department Store and Gibson's Discount Center. She married Homer Prentice in 1975 and moved to Allen where they lived until his death in 1985. She later married Virgil Limb in 1990 and returned to Seminole. After his death in 1996, she moved to Norman to be near her family. Mrs. Limb was a Baptist. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Alma Dora Haynes, and two brothers, Raymond and Ralph Rowe. Survivors include: a son, and two sisters. Pall bearers were four family members; Bill E. Russell, Johnny Ross Russell and Dale F. Crowder. Krien Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Typed exactly as spelled and as printed with the exception that the names of living relatives have been withheld to perhaps help prevent identity theft.
