All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Moss, Elmer Jesse The Davis News, Wednesday, December 22, 2004 gave the following obituary: "Davis native Elmer Jesse Moss, 90, of Norman died December 13, 2004, at his home, Funeral services were December 17, at Crossroads Cathedral, and he was buried at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Services were under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman. Moss was born August 9, 1914, in Davis, to George William and Clara Geneva (Griffin) Moss. He attended Davis High School. He married Imogene Paxton on May 17, 1948, in Gainesville, Texas. Moss was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving with the 45th Division before the war and later served with the 104th Timberwolf Division- Field Artillery in Europe during World War II. The family moved to Norman in September 1959. In 1969, he started Atlas Termite and Pest Control in Norman, which he owned and managed until his retirement in 1985. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Imogene; three sisters, Margaret, Juanita, and Thelma, and a brother.
