McDonald Graveside services for Harold M. McDonald, 65, Dougherty, were held Saturday, Jan. 3 at 2:00 p.m. at Dougherty Cemetery with Chaplain Steve Mayhan officiating. Services were under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. Harold was born to Lorene Burroughs December 28, 1938 in Lawton. He died January 1 at his residence. He married Joan Lucas McDonald April 8, 1961 in Gainesville, Texas. He lived in this area most of his life and was raised by his grandparents, Mac and Sybbie McDonald. He attended school in Sulphur and Chilacco. He served in the Navy from January, 1957 to November, 1959 and worked as an union pipe welder for many years. Preceding him in death were his grandparents; mother; and step-father, Calvin Burroughs. Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Yolanda Goebel and husband, Davie, Dougherty, Lajonna Kays and husband, Mike, Sulphur and Deshawn McDonald and husband, Eric Lamb, Dougherty; one brother, Alden McDonald, Georgia; four sisters, Jessie Adrian Clary, Sulphur, Mamie Eddy, Davis, Gladys Cass, Pawhuska and Patricia Shipworth, Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Tabitha McDonald, Chaz and Kabrina Goebel, Stacey Patrick and Thomas Vinson; and one great-grandaughter, Presley Warren. Pallbearers were Tommy Collins, Douglas Akers, Doc Carter, Tom Dilbeck, Charlie Gooch and Terry Todd.
