Eddie Malphrus officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born April 12, 1928 in Seminole to Charlie E. McNeil and May Ridenour McNeil, he died Monday, May 3 in Norman. He married Mary Jane Moffatt in 1944 at Durant. He grew up in Atoka and graduated from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. He pastored several churches in eastern Oklahoma and owned and operated Star Hardware Furniture in Sulphur for several years. He was also a cabinet and furniture maker in Ardmore for 25 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary, of the home; three sons, Steve, Sulphur, Larry and his wife, Jan, Ardmore and Rick and his wife, Janene, Sulphur; a brother and his wife, Leon and Sara McNeil, Atoka; four grandchildren, Charlie Cooper, Alisha Walker, Morgan McNeil and Jennifer Sanders; and two great grandchildren, Lexia Cooper and Emily Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jean Lassiter and Norma Ridgeway.
