Brad Ransom officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born February 10, 1915 in Caney to John H. Pope and Emma Hastings Pope, she died Wednesday, Sept. 6 in Davis. She married Silas McCracken on June 1, 1935 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1974. A member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, she had lived in this area all her life and in Sulphur since 1935. Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Jean and Clifford Parsons and Mary and Joe Garrison, all of Sulphur; a son and his wife, Don and Patsy McCracken, Sulphur; a daughter-in-law, Kathy McCracken, Sulphur; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, John and Wayne McCracken; five brothers, Clarence, Claude, Walter, Leo and Floyd Pope; two sisters, Winnie Goins and Cora Warren and one grandchild, Justin Varney Lawrence.
