Claude Williams officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Cimarron, N.M. Born March 25, 1925 to James Leroy and Inez Adeline (McDorman) Taylor in Robert Lee, Texas, she died Friday, Oct. 27 in Davis. She grew up and attended school in Robert Lee, Texas, graduating from high school there in 1942. She attended San Angelo Junior College for two years and then accompanied her sister, Trinket, to the University of Texas, where she graduated in 1946. She met and married Jack W. Martin in 1946. She received a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 1963 at Eastern New Mexico University, Portales. During her teaching career, she taught in New Mexico and Colorado, retiring at Animas Public Schools in Animas, N.M. After her husband's death in 1988, she moved to Sulphur to be near her daughter and grandchildren where she remained until her death. Surviving are a daughter, Judith E. Bohannon, Sulphur; two sisters, Dixie Jones, Brownsfield, Texas and Patty Sheppard, Spearman, Texas; three brothers-in-law, B. V. Martin and wife, Marge, Cold Springs, Texas, Lynn Martin and wife, Marion, Clovis, N.M. and Glenn Martin and wife, Mary, Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildre, Amy Fitch and husband, Tim, Fort Worth, Texas, Rebekah Bohannon and Micah Bohannon, both of Sulphur and numerous nieces and nephews.
