Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Born September 15, 1911 in Provence to Samuel Owens and Georgia Mae Warwick Owens, he died Tuesday, Dec. 14 at Ardmore. He married Ruth Jones in 1936 at Sulphur. A laborer and electrician, he lived in this area most of his life. He had worked as an electrician on air planes. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Sulphur. He is survived by his wife, Ruth, Sulphur; a daughter, Gayle McCook, Los Angeles, Calif.; two sons, Harold Owens, Ardmore and James Owens, Tacoma, Wash.; a brother, Sam Owens, Oklahoma City; 17 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Virgil Owens; a sister, Grace Thompson; a son, Charles Owens and two daughters, Georgia and Glenda.
