Services were March 2 at Krien Chapel with the Rev. James Densman officiating. Interment was at Hennepin Cemetery. Poe was born May 31, 1920, to Cicero and Maude Poe in Hennepin. He served with the United States Army during World War II, where he was awarded a Bronze Service Star, World War II Victory Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, an American Theater Ribbon and an EAME Theatre Ribbon. After four years of military service, Poe made his home in the Oklahoma City area. He spent many years in the roofing business and later started his own roofing company. Poe was an active member of the American Legion Post 13, where he served as first vice president. Poe was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Eunita Harlin, Lorretta Gibson and Patty Scritchfield; a brother, J.T. Poe, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. He is survived by his wife, Earlene Poe of the home; a brother, Billy Ray Poe of Antioch, Calif.; two daughters, Patricia Shelton of Wynnewood and Donnette Pierce of Oklahoma City; a son, Ken Poe of Oklahoma City; five step-daughters and four grandchildren.
