Brad Ransom officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krein Funeral Home. Glenda was born on April 21, 1933, at Buffalo, to Harold Oliver and Helen Louis Cross. She died on June 7, 2003 in the Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Oklahoma City. She married James (Red) Pettitt on January 16, 1953 in Bristow. Raised in Durant she moved to Sulphur in 1962 where she and Red raised their family. She lived in Sulphur and Murray County the remainder of her life. Glenda was Baptist by faith, and was a bulldozer operator. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and loved animals. She is survived by her husband, James Pettitt, of the home, Sulphur; three sons, James Pettitt, Jr. and wife, Sue, Sulphur, Jerry Don Pettitt and wife, Pam, Sulphur and Johnny Pettitt and wife, Kathy, Sulphur; four daughters, Angie Lee and husband, Bob, Sulphur, Gingi Poulin and husband, George, Sulphur, Brenda Pettitt, Sulphur and Linda Guffey and husband, Tim, Sulphur; one brother, Kenneth Cross, Judsonia, Ark.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Johnston, Seattle, Wash. and Sharon Kay Woodside, Oklahoma City; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Bobby Lee, Shawn Lee, James Poulin, Jerry Poulin, J.J. Poulin, Zach Pettitt, T.J. Guffey. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Helen Jean Matson and one brother, Harold Cross.
