Surnames: Patten Keys Originally Posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/UaB.2ACI/1586 Don Edward Patten Services for Don Edward Patten, 78, Sulphur, were held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 3 at Krien Funeral Home in Sulphur. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home, Sulphur, in charge of arrangements. Born in Ardmore on October 7, 1927 to Willie Patten and Bessie Keys Patten, he died Wednesday, June 28 in West Park Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. Patten attended Ardmore High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII on the U.S.S. Indiana. He was a 37-year veteran of the cable television industry, retiring from Harmon Cable where he worked for 18 years at vice-president of engineering. Mr. Patten moved from Sulphur to spend his remaining years with his sons in Tennessee and Florida. A quite, kind, considerate and generous man, he was deeply loved by his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Milner; grandson, Jon Patten; two brothers, Jackie and Delroy Patten and a sister, Billie Marie Anastasio. Surviving are his three sons, Noel Patten and wife, Janice, Nashville, Tenn., Walt Patten and wife, Carol, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Joe Patten and wife, Felicia, Knoxville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Blake Patten, Brandon Patten and Eri Patten and Nicole and Drew Ernest, both of Knoxville, Tenn; one great grandson, Matthew and one brother, Marion Patten, Austin, Texas.
