Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with Krien Funeral Home of Sulphur in charge of arrangements. Born October 15, 1928 in Stephens County to R. T. and Serena Guy (Fleming) Girod, she died Tuesday, Oct. 31 in Norman. She grew up in Duncan and Chickasha, graduating from high school in Chickasha. She was employed by the Social Security Administration as a claims' representative in Oklahoma City where she lived most of her life. She later was transferred to the Ada office and retired there. She was active member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Sulphur. She enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are a son, Robert Alan McDonough and wife, Connie, Sulphur; two daughters, Karen Keen, Sulphur and Linda Loveless and husband, Wyman, Rockwall, Texas; one sister, Sue Lane and husband, Howard, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Amy Lancaster and husband, Jerry, Sulphur, Lori Scholl and husband, Tommy, Oklahoma City, Steven McDonough and wife, Allison, Ada, Mark McDonough and wife, Misty, Sulphur, Andrea Loveless and Jill Loveless, both of Texas; four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Alan McDonough; one daughter, Julia Ruth May; her parents and one sister, Doris Faye.
