Butch Fires and Rev. Billy Harmon officiating. Interment was at Mill Creek Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Mrs. Payne was born Monday, Jan. 10, 1944 in Sulphur to Paul Garrison and Syble Brooks Garrison. She died Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at Ardmore. On May 22, 1961 she married Don Payne at Mill Creek. She had lived in the Mill Creek and Sulphur areas all of her life. She attended school in Mill Creek and graduated from Sulphur High School. She had worked as a hairdresser. She was affiliated with the Shield of Faith Church. She is survived by her husband, Don, Sulphur; her mother, Syble Garrison, Sulphur; a sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Corky Day, Ardmore; two nieces, Darschell and her husband, Travis Barker, Kingston and Shayna Day, Ardmore; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Derrell and Mitzi Payne, Jerry and Kay Payne and Tom and Donna Payne, all of Sulphur; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Sue and Keith McDonald, Mill Creek; Sister-in-law, Pat Murdock, Crestview, Fla.; nieces and nephews, Steve and Choppo Payne, Brian McDonald, Trish Thornhill, Sheila McClure, Kim Roberts, Kristi Harmon, Jill Blevins, Dutch and Charlie Murdock. She was preceded in death by: Her son Lyndon MacRae Payne in 1988 and her father Paul Garrison.
