Speedy Reese Services for Horace P. Speedy Reese, 79, Sulphur, will be held Friday, Nov. 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Ward and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Interment will be held at Drake Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Speedy was born to Jettie Reese and Grace Jane Smith Reese Saturday, Dec. 15, 1923 in Bagwell, Texas. He died Monday, Nov. 10 in Sulphur. He married Naomi Smith February 8, 1947 in Atoka. He lived his early life in Texas and moved to the Nebo area as a child. He attended school at Mannsville and worked for Pamp Howe on his dairy for 18 years before starting his own dairy, which he owned and operated until 1977. He worked as a dairyman, rancher and also served in the Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Evelyn. Survivors are his wife, Naomi, Sulphur; daughters and their husbands, Susie and Leonard Beesley, Nebo, and Patty and Floyd Webb, Graham; a son and his wife, Allen and Paula Reese, Nebo; two sisters, Elsie Haddock, Oklahoma City, and Veda Jamison, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Marvin Reese, Colo.; grandchildren, Dana Kirby, Kelly and Dustin Vinson, Jennifer and Jerry Poulin, Jeffrey and Chasity Webb, Brandi Beesley, Les Kirby, Leon and Holly Beesley, Kim and Aric Wickware and David Webb,great grandchildren Haylie Poulin and Wade Vinson and nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Steve Howe, Patrick Howe, Randall Kirby, Allen Kirby, John Donaho and Pat Howe.
