Willard McCartney, Jr. and Rev. Finis Steelman officiating. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery with Fox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born January 12, 1911 in Wynnewood to John Payne and Leonie Majors Payne she died Sunday, Feb. 13 in Davis. She married Charlie C. Rogers on December 23, 1936. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1985. A resident of this area all her life, she was a housewife and member of the First Baptist Church. She attended school in Joy. Surviving are a daughter, Charlene Fullerton, Plano, Texas; three sons, W. A. England,, Charley C. Rogers, Jr., and Houston "Hoot" Rogers, all of Davis; two brothers, William Payne and Johnny Payne, both of Davis; three sisters, Dorothy Watson and Juanita Coppenbarger, both of Davis and Thelma Neal, Waurika; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren and six great- great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; three sisters and two grandchildren.
