A Celebration of Life service was held Sept. 26 at the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Davis with the Revs. Randy TYLER and J. D. THOMAS officiating and nephews serving as pallbearers. She was buried at Green Hill Cemetery. The eldest daughter of John and Mattie EDGMON, Mrs. ROADY was born Nov. 11, 1915, approximately six miles southwest of Davis on the John RUSSELL Ranch. She lived in the Davis area most of her life. On Oct. 15, 1937, she married Jesse Frank ROADY. Following her husband's death, she moved to Halifax to be with her daughter, Barbara ... and family. Mrs. ROADY was a member of the Davis Pentecostal Holiness Church in Davis and Ladies Church Auxiliary and, after moving to Massachusetts, attended Brockton Assembly of God. She is survived by her daughter, two granddaughters, Jamie... and Carrie...; three brothers and two sisters Hazel ... and Zella... She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on Nov. 5, 1990, a baby brother who died at birth, a brother Earl Delbert EDGMON, and a sister, Nona Christine CARPENTER. Memorials may be sent to the Davis Pentecostal Holiness Church. Hale's Fox Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."
