Interment will be in Ramer Cemetery, Sulphur, with Krien Funeral Home of Davis in charge of arrangements. Born October 1, 1937 to Sebe and Vern (Gallagher) Ramer in Norris, Okla., he died Monday, Nov. 20 in Sulphur. Don was a retired Sulphur Police Chief, retired deputy sheriff and retired security officer at the Sulphur Veterans Center. He was also retired as a volunteer Sulphur fireman. He married Lois (Richison) Ramer on May 17, 1958. Surviving are his wife, Lois, of the home; his mother, Vern Ramer; his mother-in-law, Mary Uzzell; one son, Donnie Ramer and wife, Rita, Sulphur; one daughter, Pam Hefley and husband, Stan, Davis; two brothers, Jerry Ramer and wife, Nell, Omaha, Neb. and Joe Ramer and wife, Linda, Sulphur; one sister-in-law, Pat Ramer, Sulphur; five grandchildren, Tom Hefley and wife, Julie, Davis, Patrick Hefley and wife, Elissa, Davis, Amber Ramer Kelley and husband, Banks, Sulphur, Ashley Ramer Parrish, Sulphur and Jodi Dawn Ramer, Sulphur; two great grandchildren, Braeden Nicole Hefley, and Dalton Ray Hefley, both of Davis and cousins Barbara Pruitt, J. R. Threet, Robert Prock, Joker and Coonie Martin along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Sebe Ramer and one brother, Frank Ramer. Family members served as pallbearers.
