Eddie Malphrus officiating. Burial was in Green Hill Cemetery. He died Sept. 28, 2003, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital. He was born June 22, 1920, in Ada to Iola Jeff (McCurty) and Cecil Leonis Spicer. Before moving to Sulphur in 1939, he lived in Fairfax and Stillwell. Spicer married Betty Fields on Jan. 5, 1960, in Ada. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Iceland. Spicer was a dairyman, farmer and worked in the National Park during the summers. Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, James, Davis, and a sister, Pat Lawson, Wagoner. Eddie Malphrus and the Rev. Danny Alexander officiating. Interment followed at Green Hill Cemetery, Davis. Born June 22, 1920, in Ada to Cecil Leonis and Iola Jeff McCurty Spicer, he died September 28, 2003, at Arbuckle Memorial Hospital in Sulphur. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and a sister, Betty Francis Anderson. He married Betty Fields on January 5, 1960, at Davis. Born in Ada, he lived in Fairfax and Stillwell before moving to Sulphur in 1939. He was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Iceland and served in World War II. He was a dairyman, farmer and worked summers at the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. He was a Baptist. Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; a son, James Fields Spicer and his wife, Jenny Rebecca, Davis; and a sister, Pat Lawson, Wagoner. Bearers were Richard Mize, Phillip Arms, Butch Hill, Alan Frazier, Jason Keck and Don Keck.
