Shepard Services for Bobby E. Shepard, 74, Sulphur, will be held Thursday, Nov. 6 at 2:00 p.m. at 14th Street Church of Christ with Johnny Elmore officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Bobby was born to Gordon P. Shepard and Willie Etta Shockley Shepard on Dec. 9, 1928 in Hammond. He died Monday, Nov. 3 in Oklahoma City. He married Violet Sipes June 29, 1946 in Pauls Valley. He lived most of his life in the Sulphur area where he attended school. He was a truck driver for Associated Milk Producers, Inc. until 1990 when he retired. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Luther and Roy Shepard and one sister, Annie Murphy, Survivors are his wife, Violet, Davis; daughter, Ruth Hensley, Ardmore; daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Troy Gould, Ada; son and daughter-in-law, Harold and Margo Shepard, Spring Hill, Kan.; son, Bobby Shepard, Sulphur; son and daughter-in-law, James and Karen Shepard, Winter Park, Fla.; son, Philip Shepard, Ardmore; two sisters, Willie Atchley, Sulphur, and Louise Thomas, Davis; a brother, Bennie Shepard, Port Angeles, Wash.; 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
