R. "Ray" Sullivan Services for J. R. "Ray" Sullivan, 95, Longview, Texas will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Mrch 12 at Willow Oak Missonary Baptist Church in Longview, Texas with Rev. Don Whisenhunt officiating. Interment will be in Old East Mountain Cemetery with Welch Funeral and Memoral Center in charge of arrangements. Mr. Sullivan was born December 6, 1908 to W.I. and Josephine Williams Sullivan in Sulphur. He died Monday, March 8, 2004. He was a retired welder, pipe-fitter, switcher, roughneck and a pioneer in the oilfield. He was a member of the Willow Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Gilmer, the Pipefitter's Union #52 and the Masonic Lodge of Longview for 60 years. A multi-talented in many facets of life, Mr. Sullivan was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Laura Lee, on July 12, 2003. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy Ray and Jean Sullivan, Spring Hill, Texas and Robert J. "Bob" and Betty Sullivan, Hallsville, Texas; two daughters and son-in-law, Darlene and James Maloney, Gilmer and Marilyn J.
