Thom Balmer officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Cowley-Krien Funeral Home. "Bones" was born to Buck and Oma Grissom Thompson on April 21, 1939 in Sulphur. He died December 14 at the Artesian Nursing Home in Sulphur. He married Tommie Finch on December 27, 1958 in Marietta. He was raised in Sulphur and graduated from Sulphur High School. He was Presbyterian by faith and worked and retired in 1998 from the Sulphur Fire Department. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed going to his grandchildren's softball games. He was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Thompson; and his parents. Survivors are his wife; one daughter, Alisha Hunt and husband, Fred, Sulphur; two grandchildren, Whitney Garrison, Sulphur and Tanner Hunt, Sulphur; four brothers, D.T. Thompson, Sulphur, Dean Thompson, Duncan, Paul Thompson, Sulphur and Don Thompson, Orange Park, Fla.; and three sisters, Naomi Yersine, Burlington, Colo., Beulah Cotton Thompson, Turlock, Calif. and Johnnie Ruth Morris, Kirmet, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Pallbearers were Tom Payne, Butch Hill, Russell Watson, Pete Haines, Carl Hickman, Moe Blackburn, Dewayne Leming and Snuffy Leming. Honorary pallbearers were all Sulphur Firemen, all Sulphur Policemen, Charlie Burnett, Charlie Tingle, Donald Day, Chad Mobly, David Morris, Darrell Richardson, Fuzz Kennedy, Chad Hill, Mark Hill, Travis Watson and Luke Watson.
