Frank Trent officiating. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home . Born April 4, 1927 in Sulphur to Jessie Franklin Cape and Allie C Mayberry Cape, she died Sunday, Dec. 11 in Ada. She married Carl E. Thompson on January 15, 1944 in Sulphur. He preceded her in death on April 16, 1985. She grew up in Dougherty and attended school in this area. A cook and waitress, she worked as a nurse's aide at Callaway Nursing Home. She moved to Velma in 1982. She enjoyed raising farm animals, working in her garden, reading as well as country and gospel music, singing and playing the piano. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are a daughter, Violet Marie Thompson, Ada; two sons, Danny C. Thompson, Velma-Alma and Tommy Thompson, Leo, Ind.; a sister, Mittie O'Rose Billings, Lexington; a brother, Overy Paul Cape; nine grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were a son, Ronny Wayne Thompson; two brothers, Kenneth J. F. Cape and Obrey Junior Cape; two sisters, Wilma Oma Mayberry and Velma Ona Ingram; one grandson, Tommy E. Thompson II; two nephews and one niece.
