"Red" Trammell DUMAS - Alva J. "Red" Trammell, 74, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2001. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Northlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Roy Jackson, retired Baptist minister of Oklahoma City, officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Trammell was born April 12, 1927, in Sulphur, Okla. He was a maintenance worker for Colorado Interstate Gas for 16 years. He was a veteran of the Navy, serving during World War II. He had been a Dumas and Moore County resident since 1946. He worked at American Zinc for 25 years. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 9022 in Dumas. He was involved in the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, Belle; two daughters, Jeanne Stovall and husband, Joe, of Plainview and Janet Sue Holder and husband, Les, of Huntington; a son, Bud Trammell and wife, Nancy, of Tomball; a sister, Christina May of Cottage Grove, Ore.; a brother, Kenneth Trammell of Westminster, Colo.; four grandchildren, Sonja, Jeffrey, Eric and Traci; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kacie, McKay, Brady and Kathryn. The family suggests memorials be to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720 or VFW Post 9022, P.O. Box 1322, Dumas, TX 79029. The family will be at 617 Durrett in Dumas.
