Bill Leveridge officiating. Interment was at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City with Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Born to Dana Wood and Annice Oliva Clark on December 17, 1916 in Depew, Mr. Wood died in Sulphur on Saturday, Feb. 14. He married Mildred Elsie Clarkson Wood on April 6, 1936 in Nowata. A member of the Shields Blvd. Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, the American Legion and the Deleware Indian Tribe, Mr. Wood was a veteran of WW II, having served in the Army. In 1982 he retired from the Western Company of North America. He grew up in Nowata, graduating from Lenapah High School. He lived in several states before moving to Lindsay and later to Oklahoma City. He moved to Sulphur in 2002. Survivors include his wife, Mildred E. Wood, Sulphur; two daughters, Delores Reid, Sulphur and Betty Israel, Ruidoso, N.M.; a son and daughter- in-law, Buddy and Karen Wood, Sulphur; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jimmy Gordon Wood; a granddaughter, Robin Renee Reid, a grandson, Joshua Lee Wood; four brothers and one sister. Family members served as pallbearers.
