Services were Dec. 18 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wayne Loftin officiating. Burial was at Green Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Willis was born Oct. 13, 1922, in Elmore City to Martha Elizabeth (Woods) and Charlie Andrew Romine. She grew up in Elmore City. After graduating from Elmore City High School in 1941, she moved to Davis, where she met Lon Willis Jr. and on Aug. 25, 1942, they were married. Mr. Willis served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and after his discharge, they returned to Davis to make their home. Mrs. Willis obtained her nursing license in 1960 and was employed with the VeteranĂ­s Center in Sulphur, retiring after many years of faithful service. Some of her hobbies included gardening, crafts and fishing. However, her devotion to her family remained her main priority. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Lon Willis and a son, Robert Lon Willis. She is survived by: three children, Richard Wayne Willis and Charlotte Ann Willis, both of Davis, and Cindy Lou Wilson of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Smith, Jimmy Wilson, Brandy Kaye Wells and Jennifer Lea Salter, and three great-grandchildren, Ryan Andrew Smith, Macy Leann Smith, and Matthew David Wells. Pallbearers were: Jerry Raper, Buddy Vinyard, Bobby Benn, Colt Digby, Boomer Digby and Joe Hutchins.
