James Swain officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home. Born July 10, 1913 in Dougherty to Ira Pat Allday and Winifred Ira Jones Allday, she died Monday, Oct. 18 at Ada. She married Ulys C. Ward on April 10, 1933 at Ardmore. He preceded her in death on December 3, 1995. She had lived in this area all her life and graduated from Sulphur High School. She worked as a clerk at Green's and James Department Stores in Sulphur and for 27 years was the deputy county assessor for Murray County. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and G. O. Philpot, Ada; three sons, Sid and Flo Ward, Moore, Steve and Mary Ward, Alva, and Terry and Diana Ward, Oklahoma City; one sister, Edith Braden, Sulphur; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Chase Ward Ebeling; three sisters and two brothers. Pallbearers were G. O.
