Mr. Gilliland, 69, of Medford, died Tuesday (July 17, 2001) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. He was born March 8, 1932, in Muskogee, Okla. He graduated from high school in Woodland, Calif. In 1950, in Reno, Nev., he married Marilyn McMinn, who survives. They moved to the Rogue Valley in 1964 from Woodland, Calif. Mr. Gilliland was a salesman for Withams Parts and Equipment for 27 years, retiring in 1994. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Mr. Gilliland was a member of the Medford Moose Lodge and a former member of the Medford Elks. He enjoyed flying his airplane. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, Dennis, Central Point; a brother, Charles, Lake Almanor, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sons, Mike, Patrick and Thomas; and two sisters. Perl Funeral Home, Medford.
