Smithson Fort Gibson- Esther M. Smithson 70, Fort Gibson died Saturday at Muskogee Reginal Medical Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.1, 1988 at Calvary Faith Church, Fort Gibson with Pastor Don Reed officiating. Burial will be in Starnes Cemetery with Merl Ayers, Raymond Rowan, Jason Todd, C.R. Kirk, Blackie Wright and Orville Hammack serving as casket bearers. Bradley Funeral Home of Muskogee is in charge of arrangements. The daughter of Arthur and Ida Mae Ford, Smithson was born in Muskogee County where she was raised and attended Fort Gibson schools. Mrs. Smithson was a housewife and devoted mother. She was a member of Calvary Faith Church. Family survivors include her son, Donald Wayne, of the home; a sister, Darlene Thompson, of Fort Gibson; a niece Sharon Kaye Whorton of Sedalia, Mo. And a nephew, Richard D.Thompson of Checotah. The family requests that in lieu of usual remembrances that donations be made to the church building fund of Calvary Faith Church.
