Her name was Polly Ann Caddo. She was around 13 years, during the civil war. They lived in Missouri. Her dad was an older man & didn't want to go to war, he built a place in the corn crib to hide, so when the solders came by, they wouldn't take him. When they came by, they would steal corn etc. He would hear them talking, but they didn't find him. One day his wife told him, you are old, they don't want you, no need in you hiding. The next time they came by, he didn't hide, they took him with them, Polly Ann followed him as far as she could, she never did see him again.
