What is his postoffice address? A. I guess it is Columbus, Ohio, new state prison. What was his residence before he went to Columbus, Ohio? A. Flint District What was his office? A. Mayes, Indian Territory. How long has be living in the Cherokee Nation? A. Born and raised there. Lived there all the time until he was taken away? A. Yes. What was the name of his father? A. We always called him Gonzales, a Mexican. Is he living? A. No, sir. What was the name of his mother? A. Rachel Pettit. Is she living? A. No, sir. What she a citizen by blood? A. Yes, sir. John A.
