He was born on July 26, 1906 the oldest son of A.H. and Annie CROTZER SPARKMAN. Survivors include his wife, Cornelia Jean ESSEX SPARKMAN, of the home; two sons, Ronald and David; and one daughter, Janice; one brother, Kenneth; four sisters, Edna, Feral, Myrtle and Alma; ten grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
