Services were held February 20 at Moore Memory Chapel with Bruce ROSS officiating. He was born May 15, 1915 in Blackgum to Ezekiel STARR and Susie SMITH STARR. Mr. STARR was a Veteran of World War 11, U.S. Navy Combat, a retired barber, principal chief of the traditional Cherokee Religious Society, the Nighhawk Keetoowah Society, grandson of Redbird Smith, founder of the Keetoowah Society and Spiritual Leader. Survivors include: his wife, Mary of the home; children, Hickory Jr., of Maryland, Rachel and Cathy of Okla., Randy of Texas; sister, Rosella of Okla.; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.
