AUTRY was born December 17, 1890 southeast of Weleetka, Indian Territory. She died February 17, 1983, in the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held March 1 in the Thlopthlocco Methodist Church, north of Wetumka, with Rev. Elmer BERRYHILL officiating. Pallbearers were Joe BROWN, Jonas DUNSON, Chief HARJO, Jimmy JOHNSON, Sonny McKINNEY, Shot HARJO, Cliff JONES and Billy KING. Interment was in the Weleetka Hillcrest Cemetery. She attended the Nuyaka Mission, Wetumka Mission and Big Prairie schools. She and her husband owned and operated the Lazy Y Ranch southeast of Weleetka for almost 50 years. She was a member of the Wetumka Freewill Baptist Church and Tuchabatcher (Tuckabatcha) Tribal Town. She was married to John Riley AUTRY in Holdenville on November 1, 1908. She was preceded in death by her husband; and six of her children, Schly Clem AUTRY, Fannie Lee AUTRY, Frank AUTRY, Margaret Helen AUTRY, Vann AUTRY, and Captain AUTRY; Her survivors include a son, Mel AUTRY of Bokchito; a daughter, Call Jean MASCHAL of Oklahoma City; 4 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.
