He died February 15, 1983, in the Henryetta Medical Center. Funeral services were held February 18 at the Hutchachubba Indian Baptist Church with Rev. George HARJO and Rev. Brian JESSE officiating. Interment was in the Harjo Family Cemetery south of Ryal. He was a retired farmer and pastor of Hutchachubba Church. He is survived by his three daughters, Liza BUCKTROT, Annie HARJO, and Alice LEWIS, all of Henryetta; two stepsons, Buster BEAR and Claudie FIELDS, both of Henryetta; one half brother, Charlie TAYLOR of Garland, TX; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
