She died April 7, 1983, at her home south of Wetumka. Funeral services were held April 10 at the Thewarle Indian Methodist Church, where she was a member. Interment was in the Johnson family cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ward HARJO, in 1976. She was survived by her four sons, Willie HARJO and Marcey HARJO, both of Wetumka, Eugene HARJO of Oklahoma City, and Jimmy HARJO of Pauls Valley; four daughters, Diane LOWE and Eliza BARNETT, both of Holdenville, Anna BERNO of Wewoka, and Donna HARJO of Weleetka; a step-daughter, Florence ATICHO of Harrah; a half-brother Cecil JOHNSON of Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Lillie CANARD of Wetumka, Susie HARJO of Shawnee, and Emma HUDSON of Mustang; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.
