She was born near Wetumka and although no date of birth was given, her age would indicate she was born in 1927. Services were held at Little Quarsarty Indian Baptist Church near Cromwell, OK, with Rev. B. Frank BELVIN and Rev. Eddie LINDSEY. Pallbearers were Willie ROBERTS, Doug SHANNON, Luther FACTOR, George DEER, Francis DEER and Kenneth MOORE. Interment was at the church cemetery. She was a member of Little Quarsarty Baptist Church, Delta Kappa Gamma, AAUW and the Ladies Shrine Organization. She graduated from Butner High School, Bacone College, Northeastern State College, Tahlequah, and earned her Master's Degree from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, OK. She had lived in Arkansas City, KS, since 1950. She was the daughter of Alfred and Munn DEER. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred DEER, and one brother, Lewis DEER. She is survived by her husband, James LARNEY, daughter Monica WILLIAMS, two grandsons Paul and Joel WILLIAMS, all of Arkansas City, KS. Her mother Munna DEER, Wewoka; brothers Ethan DEER, of Chinle, AZ, Junior DEER of Wewoka, Fred DEER of Damascus, Maryland; sisters Juanita YAHOLA of Okemah and Betty SHANNON of Tulsa; several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
