She died on November 30, 1983. The customary all night vigil was held December 2 at Nuyaka Mission Baptist Church, where she was a member, with funeral services following the next day. Rev. Haney ROBERTS officiated. Interment was in Nuyaka Mission Cemetery. Pallbearers were Andrew LOWE, Carney ROBERTS, Freeman LOWE, Roy ROBERTS, Jonas LOWE, Jimmy JONES, Tom DEERE, Sammy DEERE, Glen JONES, Floyd JONES, and Fred JONES. Survivors include two daughters, Selee DEERE and Nora ROBERTS, both of Okmulgee; 23 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
