BUTLER was born May 25, 1920, in Hanna. He died March 13, 1996, at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. Wake services were held March 15 followed by funeral services March 16, both held at Hillabee Baptist Church with Rev. Morris BARNETT officiating the funeral. Pallbearers were Roger BUTLER, Ronald BUTLER, Randall BUTLER, Janssen BUTLER, Vincent BUTLER, Wesley BUTLER, Jr., Cory BUTLER, and Marcus PIGEON. Honorary pallbearers were Brandon Pigeon, Roman HILL, Houston HICKS, and Joe HICKS. Interment was in the Butler Family Cemetery. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Weogufkee Baptist Church. He was employed by Bunte Candy Company as a candy maker. He was the son of Eddie S. and Lucy Harjo BUTLER, both deceased. He is survived by his four daughters, Leta MARSHALL of Hanna, Edna BELCHER of Eufaula, Julia BUTLER of Oklahoma City, and Christine BUTLER of Tulsa; his two sons, Wesley BUTLER and Andy BUTLER, both of Okmulgee; two sisters, Lillie GOUGE of Henryetta, and Eliza MITCHELL of Hanna.
