He died February 11, 1996, in Okmulgee. Funeral services were held February 14 at Concharty United Methodist Church with Rev. George MILLER and Rev. Jake WILDCAT officiating. Pallbearers were Clifford LITTLEBEAR, Montie BROWN, Ruben BROWN, Roger BARNETT, Billy Jack WILSON, and Jimmy GIBSON. Honorary pallbearers were J.D. BROWN, Spencer FRANK, Ty HICKS, Jason JACKSON, Dimmie WASHBURN, Newman LITTLEBEAR, and Matthew LITTLEBEAR. Interment was in the Tecumseh Family Cemetery. He was in the U.S. Marine Corps and received the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Medal, and the National Defense Medal during his service. He was the chief of Duck Creek Ceremonial Ground. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cah-ka-le-co-conthla (Ted) BROWN and Nellie FRANK; and his sisters, Jane TIGER and Frances RYAN. He was survived by his wife, Florence BROWN, of the home; sons, Felix BROWN, Jr., of the home, Frederick BROWN of Okmulgee, Franklin BROWN of Morris, and Floyd BROWN of Mounds; brothers, Eugene BROWN of Mounds, and Charlie BROWN of Tulsa; a sister, Ina GIBSON of Mounds; eight granddaughters; and one grandson.
