She died November 25, 1995, at University Hospital in Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held November 28 at Many Springs Baptist Church, where she was a member. Officiating the services were Rev. Amon HARJO and Rev. Jesse DAVIS. Pallbearers were Bill BESSINGER, Glen ISHAM, Gregg SNEDDON, Robert MERRIMAN, Brian TRAVIS, and Tommie DENMON. Interment was in the Many Springs cemetery. She attended Sequoyah Indian Boarding School in Tahlequah. She worked at Holdenville Nursing Home and at both the Holdenville and Wewoka hospitals. She had also been a Sunday school teacher at Many Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Betty Harrison PATTY; one son, Rickie; and two great-granddaughters. Her survivors include her husband, Mose GEORGE, whom she married on September 18, 1949, in Muskogee; three sons, Gabe GEORGE, Sr., of Dallas, TX, Clemmie GEORGE of Goshen, KY, and Rick GEORGE of Holdenville; seven daughters and one adopted daughter, Queenie BESSINGER, Eva GRIGGS, Eve GEORGE, LouWanda MERRIMAN, Penny ISHAM, and JoAnn GEORGE, all of Holdenville, Jeanette SNEEDON of Eureka Springs, AR, and Lee Mae TRAVIS of GA; 28 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
