He died January 10, 1996, in Tulsa. Wake services were held January 11 in the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home Chapel followed by funeral services January 12 at the Tiger Farm Cemetery, with Rev. Jack DAVIS officiating. He attended Gypsy School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II from March 12, 1943 to December 23, 1945. He owned a gas station until retiring in 1977 when he began farming. He was a member of the Bristow Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3656 and Bristow Indian Community Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Elva Laxton TIGER; his wife, Jesse Cook Tiger, whom he married March 7, 1947, in Bakersfield, CA; a son, Henry TIGER; two brothers; and two sisters. He was survived by his children, Shirley TIGER and Jack TIGER, both of Tulsa; a half-brother; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
