She died September 6, 1997, at a Tulsa Hospital. Funeral services were held September 10 at Tallahassee Church with Rev. Sammy CHUPCO and Rev. Joe LOWE officiating. A eulogy was given by her nephew, Theodore Checote WALLER. Her nieces, Jean Rhodes and Tiffany WILLIAMS, performed “Amazing Grace” on the flute and clarinet. Interment was in the Tallahassee Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel ANDERSON; her mother, Martha Gibson ANDERSON; a sister, Elaine ANDERSON; and a brother, Samuel ANDERSON, Jr. She was survived by two sisters, Imogene WILKINSON and Jorene COKER; and one brother, Vernon ANDERSON.
