She died March 24, 1997. Funeral services were held March 28 at Second Baptist Church with Dr. Bob BURCH officiating. Pallbearers were Tim REED, Jeff REED, Bobby SLATON, Brian RAEFIELD, Robert STEWART, and Tex STEWART. Interment was in Okmulgee Cemetery. She worked many years for Muscogee Nation and was a mamber of Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Malinda Tiger THAMES; and her husband J.T. CRAWFORD in 1984; and her daughter Patricia REED in 1995. She was survived by her son, Michael RAEFORD of Okmulgee; two remaining daughters, Judy STEWARD of Warner, and Johnnie Lou BENNETT of Cushing; two brothers, Donald THAMES of Okmulgee, and Carl THAMES of Vista, CA; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
