She died May 26, 1997, in Okmulgee. Wake services were held May 29 followed by funeral services May 30, both held at Okmulgee Indian Baptist Church, where she was a member. Rev. Morris BARNETT and Rev. Michael TAYLOR officiated the funeral. Pallbearers were he grandsons. Interment was in Okmulgee Indian Baptist Church Cemetery. She was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Lucy West LEWIS; her husband, Jim HILL; and her son, Will SAMPSON, Jr. Her survivors include her two daughters, Norma BIBLE of the home, and Vena RANDALL of Okmulgee; 23 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
